Palm Global Flooring is milled exclusively from senile coconut palms. These are trees which have become too old to be financially viable to the farmer and are considered "waste". We use selective harvesting methods to cut the senile palms and replace every senile palm with a sapling. The planks are completely solid, milled straight from the trunk of the tree, so there are no chemicals or glue used in their creation, making them much greener than bamboo or other engineered options. Palm Global works closely with industry professionals like Bostik to guarantee various installations including glue-direct-to-slab, and over-radiant-heat installations. As the wood is quite hard (1600 on the Janka scale, compared to oak at 1400) customers can choose the sustainable finish of their choice, including modern water-based finishes or traditional and natural vegetable oils and waxes.
